Detailed Itinerary:
Day 01: SHILLONG (100KMS/3 HRS)
On arrival meet and be assisted by our representative at the Shillong Airport and proceed for Shillong, also called ‘Scotland of the East” (100 kms 3 hrs). On the way see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. You may enjoy boating there. On arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. In the afternoon visit Don Bosco Museum, Ward’s Lake where you can enjoy boating and St Mary’s Cathedral and Golf Link(as per time permits). Overnight stay in Shillong.
Day 02: SHILLONG – Krang suri falls –PHE PHE FALLS – SHILLONG
After breakfast drive to visit Krang Suri falls the Krangshuri waterfall features a different aesthetic. A placid river suddenly drops, creating a curtain of flowing water that falls over a cave. The walk down to Krangshuri is a pleasant descent – you begin on an open meadow and slowly climb down into more defined shrub and vegetation. There are railings around the falls where you can get a good view and you can also inquire about the boating facilities there. Upstream is a small space where people can camp, surrounded by lush green vegetation and with the gentle ripple of the river for company. On calm sunny days, you can enjoy a dip in the pool of the waterfall after renting life jackets. Today also visit Phe phe falls which is a two tier falls surroundedby beautiful meadows. It requires a bit of a trek to reach the falls from the main road. Overnight in Shillong.
Day 03: SHILLONG – MAWLYNNONG – DAWKI- CHERRAPUNJEE
After breakfast drive to enjoy full day tour to Mawlynnong Village- The cleanest village of Asia where you can enjoy the scenic beauty. In the adjacent Riwai village you can explore the single living root bridge. Then proceed to Dawki where you can visit the Indo- Bangladesh border, the panoramic view of the suspension bridge over the clear Umgnot river known for crystal clear water. You can enjoy boating in the river,( at your own cost and as per your choice).Then proceed towards Cherrapunjee. Overnight stay in Sohra.
Day 04: CHERAPUNJEE (SOHRA) – SHILLONG
Get up early today to enjoy the mesmerizing mornings of SOHRA and after breakfast check out from the hotel and drive to explore Cherrapunjee , which is regarded as the wettest place in the world. It is a pleasant drive to see roaring waterfalls leaping into deep gorges, including the Nohsngithiang Falls (Seven Sisters Waterfall,) the beautiful waterfall-Nohkalikai is at Cherrapunjee. You can also explore Arwah Cave, Mawsmai cave , drive towards Dainthlein falls, to explore the many waterfalls in and around. Visit the Wei sawdong falls which require a short trek downhill. Then explore the beautifulPrut falls, Mawsawdong falls, Lyngsiyar falls etc and several view points in and around Cherrapunjee as per time permits. Then return to Shillong. Overnight stay in Sohra.
Day 05: SHILLONG –LAITLUM –GUWAHATI (90 kms- 2 ½ hrs)
After breakfast check out from hotel and drive to Laitlum, Perched in the East Khasi Hills of Shillong, Laitlum Canyons is a little-explored haunt of the mountainous state of Meghalaya. Laitlum translates to ‘end of hills’ and this sublimely beautiful hilltop appears to be true to its name. At Laitlum, all one can see are breathtaking gorges and steep winding stairways that snake their way down to the lush valley. After that drive back to Shillong and visit police bazar for some shopping of local artifacts and souveniers.
Then drive to Guwahati . On arrival check in at hotel.
In the evening enjoy river cruise at the mighty river Brahmaputra with / without dinner.(Optional).

You can opt for visiting the local market . Assam is famous for Silk particularly for the golden thread called Muga silk , Paat silk, Eri clothes, Assam tea, bell metal products and bamboo and cane products.

In the evening you may visit the Tea Lounge at GTAC or the Guwahati Tea Auction centreWhere you can enjoy a wide variety of different types of Tea like (Yellow Tea, White Tea, Oolong Tea, Purple Tea, and Silver Needles Tea) produced in Assam. Overnight stay at hotel.
Day 06: Tour ends
After breakfast ; check out from hotel and proceed to Nilachal hill to visit Kamakhya Temple which is one of the oldest of the 51 Shakti Pithas. Then, You can enjoy ropeway ride across the mighty river Brahmaputra from where you can enjoy the bird’s eye view of Umananda temple. Then visit Brahmaputra River Front, The Brahmaputra Heritage Centre, etc. as per time permits and interests. (NOTE: THIS CAN BE DONE ONLY IF YOU HAVE LATE AFTERNOON OR EVENING RETURN FLIGHT )
ABOUT KAMAKHYA:
Situated on top of the Nilachal Hill, Maa Kamakhya Temple is the most sacred among the tantrik shrines of Shakti worship in the world. Kamakhya temple is also famed for the annual Ambubachi Mela held for 4 days during monsoon season. There are images of Lord Ganesha, Goddess Chamundi and many dance fixtures. Situated on the Nilachal Hill, the temple structure resembles a Shikhara – a beehive. Besides the main Devi temple, there are temples of 10 Mahavidyas in and around temple. These include Bhuvaneshvari, Bagalamukhi, Chinnamasta,Tripura Sundari, Tara, Kali, Bhairavi, Dhumavati, Matangi and Kamala Temples. Temple doors remain open for devotees in the following timings – 08:00 am to 01:00 pm & 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm.
